China Yunnan–Toronto, Canada Economic and Trade Promotion Conference Builds a New Bridge for Cooperation
2024年8月15日下午，由中国云南省商务厅与加拿大云南社团联合总会联合主办的“中国云南—加拿大多伦多经贸推介会”在加拿大安大略省万锦市希尔顿酒店隆重举行。
On the afternoon of August 15, 2024, the “China Yunnan–Toronto, Canada Economic and Trade Promotion Conference” was grandly held at the Hilton Hotel in Markham, Ontario. It was jointly organized by the Department of Commerce of Yunnan Province and the Federation of Yunnan Associations in Canada.
本次推介会由澜湄次区域经贸开发中心、加拿大贸易投资促进会承办，云南省国际贸易学会、加拿大云南总商会协办。活动吸引了百余位来自中加政商界、协会及各界的嘉宾齐聚一堂，共同探讨新时代中加合作新机遇。
The event was co-hosted by the Lancang-Mekong Sub-regional Economic and Trade Development Center and the Canada Trade and Investment Promotion Association, with support from the Yunnan International Trade Society and the Yunnan Chamber of Commerce in Canada. Over 100 guests from the political, business, and community sectors of China and Canada gathered to explore new opportunities for bilateral cooperation.
🏛 高规格会议，彰显中加合作新高度
High-Level Engagements Show the Strength of China-Canada Collaboration
本次活动不仅是云南省商务厅首次在加拿大举办的高规格经贸推介活动，也是加拿大云南总商会成立十周年的重要庆典。会议聚焦特色农业、清洁能源、健康产业、文化旅游等领域。
This marked the first high-level Yunnan economic and trade promotion event in Canada and celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Yunnan Chamber of Commerce in Canada. Key cooperation areas included specialty agriculture, clean energy, health industries, and cultural tourism.

朱燕主席在致辞中表示，商会十年来致力于中加友好交流，未来将继续发挥桥梁平台作用。
Ms. Zhu Yan, President of the Federation of Yunnan Associations in Canada, welcomed the guests and emphasized the Chamber’s commitment over the past decade to China-Canada friendship, promising to continue playing a bridging role.
中国驻多伦多副总领事程洪波用“天时、地利、人和”高度概括合作契机，并强调双方多元文化、区位互补的优势。
Mr. Cheng Hongbo, Deputy Consul General of the Chinese Consulate in Toronto, summarized the cooperation with “right timing, location, and people” and emphasized both countries’ multicultural and geographical strengths.
云南省商务厅副厅长马俊全英文演讲，提出三点倡议：加强常态化对接、推动特色产品出口、深化绿色数字经济合作。他诚邀加方企业赴滇投资兴业。
Mr. Ma Jun, Deputy Director-General of the Yunnan Department of Commerce, delivered a fluent English speech outlining three proposals: strengthen regular exchanges, promote Yunnan products such as Pu’er tea and mushrooms, and expand cooperation in green and digital economy. He extended a warm invitation to Canadian businesses to visit and invest in Yunnan.

包括安省议员 Aris Babikian、万锦副市长 Michael Chan、列治文山副市长 Godwin Chan 等多位政要到场致辞，表达对云南代表团来访的欢迎及对双边合作的期待。
Multiple Canadian political leaders including MPP Aris Babikian, Markham Deputy Mayor Michael Chan, and Richmond Hill Deputy Mayor Godwin Chan delivered speeches, welcoming the Yunnan delegation and expressing hopes for expanded collaboration.
联邦国会议员Michael Ma、省市政要Isa Lee、Simon Cui等发来贺信。云南省侨办与侨联也致信祝贺。
Federal MP Michael Ma, Councillors Isa Lee and Simon Cui, and Yunnan’s overseas Chinese office also sent congratulatory letters.

Forum: Navigating Opportunities and Challenges
经贸论坛以“新时代中加经贸合作机遇与挑战”为主题展开，来自普洱、金平、列治文山等地官员与企业代表分享经验，聚焦农业、物流、文旅等重点领域。
The economic forum focused on “New Era Opportunities and Challenges in China-Canada Cooperation,” featuring speakers from Pu’er, Jinping, and Richmond Hill, and covering sectors like agriculture, logistics, and tourism.

Enterprise Showcases and Signing Ceremonies
推介会上，霍普禾森医院、精骨臻牛食品、Multifood超市、北方AI集团等企业代表进行了分享。
Enterprise representatives from Hop Hope Hospital (Kunming), Jinggu Zhenniu Food, Multifood Supermarket, and Northern AI Group presented their projects and visions.
