“Stronger Together”: John Weibang Zhu Elected Again as National Chair of Chinese Canadian Conservative Association, Joe Li Lauds New Board

TORONTO, July 11, 2025 — Under bright lights and heartfelt applause, the Chinese Canadian Conservative Association (CCCA) announced that Mr. John Weibang Zhu has been elected once again as National Chair, opening a new chapter for the organization’s journey of service and leadership.

7月10日晚，这场充满温情与希望的交接仪式暨庆功晚宴，在士嘉堡著名的Casa Deluz 宴会厅隆重举行。资深媒体人、前多伦多华裔媒体工作者协会会长郭然先生担纲主持，全场气氛热烈，掌声不断。

The event was graced by political figures including MPP Daisy Wai of Richmond Hill, who delivered an uplifting speech, and MPP Aris Babikian, who presented an official scroll from the Ontario Legislative Assembly to Mr. Zhu, recognizing his dedication and leadership.

列治文山省议员韦邱佩芳（Daisy Wai）亲临现场，发表热情洋溢的祝贺致辞；安省省议员白必勤（Aris Babikian）代表省议会，向朱伟邦主席发来了官方贺状，肯定其贡献与领导力。

“使命在肩，不敢懈怠”

In his acceptance remarks, Mr. Zhu described his election as both “an honour and a profound responsibility.” He pledged to rally the leadership team, serve the Chinese Canadian community, and ensure that Chinese voices resonate strongly on Parliament Hill.

朱伟邦主席在讲话中表示：“再次当选全国主席，是一份巨大的荣耀，更是一份沉甸甸的责任。”他承诺，将团结协会理事与会员，继续服务广大华人社区，并努力让华裔的声音在加拿大政坛更响亮、更有影响力。

高度致敬前任主席李国贤

Mr. Zhu paid glowing tribute to outgoing National Chair Joe Li, praising his outstanding contributions and steady leadership during his tenure.

朱伟邦主席特别高度称赞了上届主席、万锦市区域议员李国贤先生（Joe Li），表示：“李议员在过去几年为协会的发展倾注了巨大的心血与智慧。他的奉献精神和卓越领导力，是我们继续前行的重要力量。”

In turn, Mr. Joe Li expressed his heartfelt best wishes to the new leadership team. “I am filled with confidence and hope for the future of CCCA. I encourage all members to support the new board wholeheartedly as we work together for the betterment of the Chinese Canadian community and our place in Canadian society.”

李国贤议员也在晚宴上发表讲话，对新一届理事会寄予殷切期望：“我对协会未来充满信心与希望。也呼吁大家全力支持新理事会，共同为华人社区的发展，为华人在加拿大社会中更好的地位而努力。”

新任副主席上任，注入新动能

Mr. Ian Li was elected as the new Vice Chair of the CCCA, bringing fresh energy and perspective to the leadership team.

此次换届中，李明（Ian Li）当选为全国副主席，为协会注入新的活力与远见。

“This successful transition is more than a change in titles—it is a testament to our unity, shared values, and commitment to community service,” Mr. Zhu said. “We will continue to uphold conservative principles, promote civic engagement, and contribute to Canada’s diverse society.”

朱伟邦主席表示：“这不仅是职位的更迭，更是团结、信念和服务精神的延续。我们将继续坚守保守主义核心价值，推动华裔更积极参与政治与社会，贡献力量于加拿大多元文化社会。”
